Happy Memorial Day!

Today we remember all those who are fighting to keep us safe and all of those who have died. In general, it was a rainy weekend but the rain held off today in order for us to have a fun day! We spent most of the afternoon at our pool. Our neighborhood had a Memorial Day pool party. Jake and I had A LOT of fun swimming. The water was quite cold but we didn't care. I was so happy to see Eleanor there with her family. Her and I had a lot of fun in the pool. When we got home, Jake and I took long naps. Then we ended the evening with dinner on the deck.Also this weekend, my mom and I went to the mall. We did some shopping and met up with Lily and JT to play. Lily and I jumped on a big kid EuroBungy. Lily did it first. I watched her and insisted that I do it too. I kept telling my mom that I could do it. She really didn't believe me but gave in. We stood in line, and I really didn't second guess myself until the attendants got me all strapped in. After they worked so hard to make the straps tight enough, I look for my mom and started to cry. My mom came in and held my hands until I started jumping on my own. After a few minutes, I loved it and began to smile. I think I said, "I want to do it again!" the whole way home from the mall.

All strapped and now scared.. I think I can..I like it!... Did you know that Jake is 11 mo. old now? wow, time flies! At this time last year, Jake was getting ready to come out of my mom's belly. Jake still is cruising quite well but not walking yet. My mom and dad say that he needs to start walking real soon as he's too heavy to carry everywhere. Jake officially weighs more than me. We got on the scale at home last night and I'm 29 lbs and Jake is 29.6 lbs. Jake likes waving bye-bye and barking like a dog.

Trip to the Lotion!

It's about time I post on my fun weekend to FL..huh? I'm starting to slip:) We went to FL last weekend to visit Ree and Pop. We got back last Sunday but this week has been pretty hectic. Anyway, we had such a fun time. We went to the ocean! I call it the lotion:) It was Jake and mine's first time to see the ocean. I LOVED it and Jake not so much. Jake was fine when he was far from the water. I, on the otherhand, loved the water and loved jumping the waves. I was not scared one bit! Ree and Pop also have a little kids pool which I really liked to play in. The weather was perfect..not too cold and not too hot! Enjoy some of my pics from our trip!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is Mommy's day. Jakey and I gave mommy a very sweet card for being our mom. We love her so much and mommy told us that she is SO lucky to have such sweet kids. We really are good kids! We don't have any pictures to post from the this weekend or day. Our camera is charging. Mommy and I planted flowers early this morning. We got very messy! Daddy also worked in the yard making it nice and pretty. After naps, we played outside. We grilled out for dinner and had cupcakes and ice cream for dessert....yum! It was a nice day! After the week that we had, we deserved a nice day. Everyone in my house but my mom had strep throat and is on antibiotics...first daddy, then me, then Jakey.

Did you know that my birthday is coming up? I'm going to be 3. I'm telling everyone this as if my birthday is next week or something. I'm just reminding my parents so they don't forget. I guess they'll soon have to start thinking about my party!

Jake is still on the go. He's not walking yet but he cruises around everything quite well. He crawls super fast up the steps and even knows that he has to turn himself around to go down the steps. Jake's busy yet very cautious. Jake really loves me. Practically anytime I talk or laugh, he smiles or laughs. Jake likes to throw things and say..UGH. That means uh-oh! He also loves when Brantley barks. Jake mimics the barking by saying UGH, UGH, UGH, UGH. He's a funny guy. I like to call him buddy and tell him, Jake, you are FINE whenever he gets fussy.

Another busy weekend..

Jake and I had another fantastic and busy weekend. I went to gymnastics on Saturday morning. Then Jake, mom, dad and I went to the Taste of E. Cobb. I called it a fair. There were a lot of local resturants there and a lot of things for kids to do. We met up with Maddie and Robert and their families. Maddie, Robert and I had such fun jumping in the bounce houses and sliding down the BIG inflatable slides. Well, I did a great job climbing up but then once I got up there it looked much bigger than I thought so I just sat at the top. Everyone at the bottom was screaming up to me to slide down but there was no way I was doing it. My dad had to climb up and slide down with me:) He had fun! The local high school's jazz band was there. My friends and I had a great time dancing to the band. We were quite entertaining! Then on Sat. night, I went to Eleanor's to have pizza and play with her. We had a lot of fun playing. I sure do miss seeing Eleanor at school everday but she is doing well at her new school. Today, mom took Jake and I shopping for new shoes. I got some summer sandles and Jakey got new sneakers. Jake wears a size 6.5 extra wide and I wear a size 7! Easter BOX!

Last week Jake and I got a package in the mail from Grandma! It was the never ending box of candy, clothes, money and toys! We had a lot of fun digging through the box. THANKS Grandma!
